1870

Our story begins around 1870, when the first family members started working in the artisan sector, dedicating themselves to the production of mattresses and armchairs. Knowledge passed down from generation to generation, laying the foundations of our identity.

1912

In 1912, Giuseppe Colombo opened the workshop "Alla Sorgente dei Mobili" in Via Ozanam 5, Milan. With the help of his sons, the business grew rapidly, becoming a landmark in the production of high-quality artisan furniture.

1924

In 1924, Giuseppe Colombo chose to expand the business by opening two new locations: one in Verbania and one in Cannobio. It was the beginning of our story on Lake Maggiore, where artisan tradition was enriched with new family energy and territories.

1925

In 1925, Lorenzo Colombo founded "Mobilificio Colombo Lorenzo" in Via Pecchio, Milan. He was the first in the family to embark on an independent entrepreneurial path, contributing to the expansion of the Colombo name in the heart of the vibrant Corso Buenos Aires.

1931

Starting in 1931, Lorenzo and Italo regularly participated in the Milan Fair. Their artisan creations received great appreciation and visibility, consolidating the family's reputation in the Milanese furniture sector.

1939

In 1939, the company led by Italo transformed into "Italmobili Colombo" with headquarters in Piazza Lima. Participation in exhibitions on the Sagrato del Duomo and public recognition marked a moment of prestige and renewal for our family.

1941

In 1941, "Ditta Giuseppe Colombo" moved its main headquarters to Via Marconi 9 in Cannobio. Giuseppe, with his wife Gina and their children, worked with dedication, immediately involving the new generation in the artisan business.

1955

In 1955, the chapter of "Mobilificio Comm. Colombo Lorenzo" closed. Despite this, Italo's business continued to evolve and prepare for a new phase, marked by the ability to adapt to market changes.

1961

In 1961, the company was reorganized under the name "Italmobili Colombo & C.," thanks also to the contribution of Mirella, Italo's wife. The family tradition continued with energy, maintaining a strong bond between past and future.

1962

In 1962, Giuseppe opened a new location on Corso Umberto I in Cannobio. The company's growth continued with the contribution of his sons Italo and Alberto, ready to carry on the tradition with entrepreneurial spirit and new skills.

1963

In 1963, "Ditta Giuseppe Colombo" became "Colombo Alberto e Italo Fratelli." Their respective wives, Giovanna and Maria, actively participated in management, creating a united and dynamic family business model.

1990

Between the late 1980s and early 1990s, Rosa and Sibilla joined the company. Over time, Rosa specialized in accounting and Sibilla in design, enriching the business with new skills and complementary visions.

2002

In 2002, Andrea and Luca took the reins of the company and renamed it "Arredamenti Fratelli Colombo." Together with their wives, they continued to innovate while keeping artisan values and dedication to customer service alive.

2017

In 2017, Andrea and Sibilla assumed full management of the company. "Arredamenti Colombo di Andrea Colombo & C. s.a.s." was born, with headquarters at Via D. Uccelli 15. The tradition continues thanks also to the entry of their son Arim.

2022

In 2022, a new branch opened in Piazza Angelo Custode 5. Dalila, the youngest daughter, also joined the company. The new generation is ready to take up the torch, with passion, vision, and respect for family roots.

2024

In 2024, the family celebrates 100 years of business. An important milestone that we celebrate in our recently renovated showroom, entirely dedicated to kitchens. Our story continues, with our eyes on the future and the same passion as always.

2026

In 2026, we will inaugurate the new Verbania showroom, entirely dedicated to Veneta Cucine. After 100 years of history, Arredamenti Colombo continues to grow and renew itself, bringing its experience to a new reality. A new milestone, guided by the same passion as always.
